Control Academy
I was approached by a Magic The Gathering (MTG) content creator looking to develop a brand for his channel; with the objective of showing a mysterious, confident character surrounded by the various colors of the game energy source ‘Mana’. The work involved consisted of developing a brand, YouTube thumbnail assets, and a custom illustration for use as a playmat in local tournaments.

Taking Control
The essence of the YouTube channel was to provide an informative, educated breakdown of multiple decks and playstyles of various Magic The Gathering (MTG) decks. Taking a professorial approach to take each win and loss and learn from each experience.
The goal of the logo was to capture that Educated and wizened appearance while still holding true to classic MTG styling.
